RECOGNITION
THE STUDIO
Madja Entertainment was founded in 2014 in Ottawa–Gatineau by Christian K. Kalambay and Imad Al-Sukkari — two immigrant storytellers who started the studio as a graphic design shop before growing it into a home for multicultural narratives.
In 2017, Madja released its first feature documentary, Canada, The Immigrant Story, directed by Kalambay — the project that moved the studio into film and television. Covidsation followed in 2021, an anthology on the emotional toll of the pandemic. Both have picked up festival recognition along the way.
WHAT WE DO
Long-form nonfiction, from field footage to a broadcast-ready cut. Proxy workflows, audio sync, and structure built around the real story.
Shooting and editing for brands, campaigns, and short-form work — planned and delivered by the same team, start to finish.
Titles, posters, and print design that carry a project's look past the edit — including layout work for the studio's own book catalog.
One point of view across a project's visuals, from concept through delivery, so nothing gets designed twice.
Repair and restore old or damaged photographs — a separate service line alongside the studio's film and design work.
AI-powered SEO and website builds for entrepreneurs, small businesses, and community leaders in Aylmer and Ottawa–Gatineau.
