Our History

The journey of Madja Entertainment is a testament to our commitment to excellence and creativity. We’ve grown from our beginnings as a graphic design firm to a renowned international film production brand.

In 2017, we produced “Canada, The Immigrant Story”, a compelling documentary that deepens the understanding of the immigrant experience. The film was recognized at various film festivals including the International Black & Diversity Film Festival (IBDFF) where it won Best Documentary Feature – By A Black Filmmaker and Best Documentary Feature – International Film Category. It was also selected for the Standalone Film Festival & Awards Worldwide and was a finalist for Best Documentary at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival.

Expanding our storytelling to the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic, we created Covidsation, an anthology series that explored the multifaceted human experiences during this global crisis. The first episode of Covidsation, brought to life by Hayden Rose, won Best Narrative Short Film and Best Actress at the Toronto Film and Script Awards. It was also selected and nominated at several other film festivals including the Phoenix Shorts, Stockholm City Film Festival, Direct Monthly Online Film Festival, and Standalone Film Festival & Awards Worldwide.
