A Graphic Design thesis became a complete
3D animated short film.
All Time High was created in 2005
as Christian K. Kalambay's Graphic Design thesis
at George Brown College's School of Design in Toronto.
Developed as a 3D animated short film, the project
brought together graphic design, character creation,
animation, voice performance, music and narrative
storytelling within one complete work.
Christian created the animation and the film's
animated characters. Fellow George Brown students
became the voices behind those characters, bringing
personality and performance into the animated world.
The film also incorporated one live-action character:
Jimmy Kalambay, Christian's brother, was the only
human actor appearing on screen. Every other character
in the film was animated.
At the end of the academic year,
All Time High placed third in the New Media Award
and also received the
School of Design Award.
